As a rising clarinet soloist, Agut has been appointed Artist in Focus for the 2024/2025 season by the prestigious chamber orchestra Camerata Nordica, coinciding with the orchestra’s 50th anniversary.

His upcoming engagements will take him across Eastern Europe, Scandinavia, Latin America, the United States, and Spain. Notable performances include his debut tour in Colombia with the Bogotá Philharmonic, where he will perform Crusell’s Concerto No. 2, and his third Scandinavian tour featuring A. Copland’s Concerto with Camerata Nordica.

Additionally, Agut has recently joined the roster of Weller Artists agency.

Over the past two decades, Agut has played a pivotal role as Artistic Director for several international projects. His deep passion for connecting with audiences has afforded him the opportunity to lead major initiatives in both of his home cities, Castelló and Los Angeles. In each project, Agut demonstrated exceptional leadership and vision, successfully building strong, cohesive teams that included former and current artistic directors from renowned institutions like the Spanish National Orchestra and Sweden’s premier chamber orchestra, Camerata Nordica.

Agut’s leadership style emphasizes fostering meaningful cultural connections within each project’s community, understanding that each requires a unique approach. His ability to engage with and enhance local cultural life has garnered strong support from institutions in both cities.

His commitment to expanding the clarinet repertoire has led him to collaborate with composers to create new works and projects. His further development project for the 2022/2023 season is Spanish Dances, commissioned by the leading Swedish chamber orchestra Camerata Nordica.

Spanish Dances is a unique creation that develops a special connection between audiences and artists through an exceptional musical performance format that combines storytelling and music. For this project he will collaborate with Camerata Nordica and the prestigious Spanish composer Vicente Ortiz Gimeno. This project is directed, designed and performed by Agut.

Furthermore, in 2020, his collaboration with composer Daniel Royo has resulted in the Double Concerto for clarinet and violin “La Dama del Bosc”, although the premier was canceled due to the pandemic and no new date has been established, it was destined to premiere with former Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra concertmaster Andrés Cárdanes in Pittsburgh.

European Music Institute

Agut is a clarinet faculty member of the European Music Institute. Where he teaches alongside with prestigios clarinetists such us Martin Fröst (concertist), Shirley Brill (Professor at Hochschule für Musik Nürnberg in Germany), Florent Héau (Professor at L’HEMU de Laussane), Harri Mäkki (Professor at Sibelius Academy), Björn Nyman (Principal Clarinet at Norwegian National Orchestra), Alberto Álvarez (Principal Clarinet at Swedish Chamber Orchestra) or Efren Ramos (professor at the Castilla La Mancha Conservatory).
